OAKLEY HISTORY PROJECT

We have obtained a selection of photos from the Reflections Day held in February 2009. 

We know there must be many more hidden away in the back of cupboards or in old albums.  Photos of people, village groups and events up to the mid 1980’s as well as those of buildings are needed.  Please look them out. 

They all form an important social record of the life, times and development of the village and if we are not careful they will be lost forever.   So let us borrow them for a few days so that they can be scanned as a permanent record of the life of Oakley and the surrounding area.

All that is needed is a quick phone call to either Ros Blackman (781444 or 780583) or Jill Bettridge (782199) and we will do the rest.
