Moved to Oakley in 1975 and started her own accountancy and taxation business in 1978. Has been a member of Oakley and Deane WI since 1979 and was persuaded by the members to stand for election to the Parish Council in 1983. She was a governor of Oakley Junior School for twelve years. Her interests are family and local history, travel, music and gardening. She co-wrote the book entitled Oakley - the Last 100 Years to commemorate the Parish Council's centenary in 1994 and has recently jointly produced another book about the men whose names are on the War Memorials in the parish.

Born in East Grinstead during the Second World War and moved to Basingstoke in 1968 under the Greater London Council's new towns scheme. Worked for Hampshire County Council's Weights and Measures Department at their Basingstoke Office as a technical assistant/weighbridge unit driver and lived on Popley before moving to Brighton Hill and then in 1977 to Oakley. Married to Valerie with two grown up children, Keith and Kay. Involved in the local Oakley Scouts and Guides for many years while the children were growing up. In 2006 was awarded an MBE for Services to Hampshire County Council and now semi retired and enjoying driving, travelling, some gardening and when the weateh permits some cycling.

Oakley resident for 25 years. Married with three children, two grandchildren. Although retired is a governor of Queen Mary's College and is involved in a minor way with scouting in the village (cubs accounts). He enjoys classical and traditional jazz music, reading and travel and, in what time remains, relaxing!

Lived in the Basingstoke area since 1975 and since 1987 in Oakley. Married to James with one son, Paul. Retired early from what seemed a lifetime in accountancy (Wella for many years and the last ten years with a management consultancy company based in Kingsclere, my role was initially Financial Controller with the last year as Financial Director). My time is rapidly filling up with voluntary work (Winchester Cathereral, care home entertaining, babysitting and now the Parish Council). I Love reading, walking, spending time with my family and friends and learning new things (currently the piano with the next challenge being Italian).

After studying the arts and photography, Graeme turned his hand to journalism and was the first photographer to have a picture on the front of The Times, and has snapped all the members of the Royal family over the years.

He has a love of music and has run High Society Jazz, which has played alongside Kenny Ball, Chris Barber and the late Acker Bilk and Humphrey Lyttelton. His band was voted the Best Marching Band when it competed against bands from all over the world in 1985. Now retired, he lives in Oakley with partner Marian and still plays every week.

 Androulla has lived in Oakley village for exactly 25 years. She has worked in and around the NHS for 35 years and is currently the Chief Executive Officer of the Health and Social Care Advisory Service (HASCAS); a national mental health organisation which is also a registered charity. Androulla is also a historian and archaeologist with a specialist interest in buildings and forensic anthropology.

    Serving the residents, visitors and councilors of the Oakley and Deane parish.

Barbara and husband Keith moved to Oakley from Brighton Hill in 1993. They have two daughters, four grandchildren, and a Yorkshire Terrier called Molly.
Barbara worked for Motorola in Basingstoke in various finance roles for almost 18 years, and then for Serco in Hook for 8 years where she was Treasury Manager.
Outside of work Barbara's main hobbies are reading, listening to music and knitting. She and her husband enjoy attending music festivals but she is less happy with the mud than she used to be!
