The Link Magazine

The Link is a free monthly community magazine for Oakley, Deane, Newfound, Malshanger, and Wootton St Lawrence. First published in April 1961, it has been part of village life for more than 60 years.

Originally created to connect church and village activities, The Link now covers the whole community, featuring local news, events, photos, opinions, and updates from groups such as the Parish Council, schools, Scouts & Guides, clubs, and sports teams.

Edited by Chris Wassell—who has contributed for over 30 years—the magazine is produced entirely by volunteers, from writing and editing to formatting and delivery.
