Sports & Play Areas

Sports Grounds

Newfound Sports Ground: Located just off the B3400, directly opposite The Fox Public House.

Peter Houseman Ground: Located just off Rectory Road, within the Church Oakley Conservation Area.

Both sports grounds are managed by the Parish Council. To hire a sports ground or pavilion, please contact the Clerk and complete the hire forms below. Current hire charges are available in the file provided.

Parish Council Play Areas

Oakley & Deane Parish Council maintains several play areas across the village, each offering safe, accessible spaces for children and families to enjoy.

Avon Road Play Area

A friendly neighbourhood play space designed for primary school‑aged children.

Upper Farm Road Play Area

A versatile open area featuring:

  • A grass field with small goal posts
  • A dedicated toddler and pre‑school play zone

Beach Park (Station Road)

A large, multi‑use recreational space with facilities for all ages, including:

  • Pump Track
  • Skateboard Park
  • Public Tennis Courts
  • Children’s Play Area with picnic table and seating
  • Dog Exercise Area
  • Basketball Hoop with hard‑standing
  • Ample off‑road parking

Other Play Areas

Several additional play areas in the village are owned and maintained by Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council.
