Welcome to the Oakley & Deane Parish Council website. On this site, you’ll find updates, council meeting information, how to contact us, and ways to get involved in your community.

A sincere thank you to everyone who completed our first-ever Parish Council Resident Survey earlier this year. Your feedback has provided valuable insight into the issues, priorities, and opportunities that matter most to our community.

We are pleased to share the survey results and appreciate the time taken by all those who participated. Your views help inform the work of the Parish Council and support future planning and decision-making.

 

Welcome Packs 

Whether you've just moved in or are planning your move, we’re so glad to have you join our community. While many of our residents have called the village home for years, we're always excited to welcome new families. 

As a small gesture, new residents receive a welcome letter from our Chairman and a jar of seasonal ‘Community Kindness’ jam, handmade by a local volunteer.

Drop-In Public Office Hours 

Coffee and Chat: Thursdays 10:30am – 12:30pm at the Newfound Pavilion.

Come along to our informal session, a relaxed chance to meet fellow residents and ask any questions you may have to the Clerks! 

 

Councillor Chat Session: The next session will be held Friday 26th May 2026, 7:00pm - 8:00pm, at The Barley Mow.

Residents are warmly invited to drop by and chat with your local councillors, discuss what matter most to our community and share ideas!

Parish Council Meetings 

Full Parish Council Meetings - Second Thursday of the month at 7:30pm*

Planning Committee Meetings - First Tuesday of the month at 7:00pm* 

These meetings are open to the public and are held at Newfound Pavilion, Andover Road, Oakley, RG23 7HB.
