Annual Parish Meeting

The Annual Parish Meeting is not a council meeting - it is a meeting of the parish electors which takes place between 1 March and 1 June.  Electors can contribute to the agenda and in practice these meetings often celebrate local activities and debate current issues in the community. The chairman of the council, any two councillors or any six electors can call the Annual Parish Meeting. The Chairman, if present, will chair it

Oakley & Deane Parish Council holds two Annual Parish Meetings - one for the Parish of Oakley and the other for the Parish Meeting of Deane.  This dates back to before the two parishes were amalgamated in 1976.

If you have ideas for the next Annual Parish Meeting - who to invite, what topics to discuss etc, then please contact the Clerk: Barbara Bedford on (01256) 780886

We are always looking for ways to improve the Annual Parish Meetings.
