Women's Institutes (WI's) in Oakley
Oakley has two thriving WI groups:
- Oakley Afternoon WI who meet at St Leonard’s Centre, Rectory Road on the third Monday of the month at 1.30pm and
- Oakley & Deane WI who meet at Oakley Village Hall, Station Road, Oakley on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 7.30pm.
Oakley Afternoon WI's activities include outings, lunches, theatre and concert trips, quizzes, skittles and competitions and a book club so you can see there is something to interest everyone.

Oakley & Deane WI celebrated its centenary in April 2018 with a birthday party attended by the Mayor and Mayoress of Basingstoke and Deane and the great-great grand-daughter of our first President. Members were delighted to receive an invite from the Mayor to tea in the Mayor's Parlour as part of our celebrations. As well as the monthly meetings, lunches, outings and walks, Oakley & Deane WI holds a monthly coffee morning at the Beach Arms on the 4th Tuesday and jumble sales to raise funds They also have a scrabble group.

Visitors are welcomed at both groups at any of the meetings, so do come along and see what you think. Membership of the WI is open to any woman over 18.
